Full service kitchen design and remodeling
Location: Scottsdale, AZ
Our San Carlos project in Scottsdale was a whole home remodel. We removed all the old flooring and cabinets, as well as moved and reconfigured walls. The whole house was a maze, feeling very closed in, so our goal was to give the home an updated, open concept feel.
We replaced the old, outdated flooring with wood-looking porcelain tile that went throughout the entire home. We used white shaker cabinetry on the kitchen perimeter with a maple stained island. Our client selected granite countertop and white glossy subway tile. For a pop of color, we used a strip of stainless steel accent mosaic tile for the backsplash. We completely refaced and rebuilt the fireplace with porcelain tile and a wood stained mantle to match the new contemporary style in the home.In the hallway, we transformed an old closet into an open niche with floating shelves and lighting to showcase art or accessories on the shelves.
For powder bathroom, used a floating vanity that matches the kitchen island cabinets, quartz countertops, and floating shelves in the niche to the left of the vanity. In the guest bathroom, we used the same stained cabinets with quartz countertops and modern pulls. For the guest bathroom shower, our client wanted to do something different for the tile. We deicded to alternated glossy and matte grey subway tile columns with a pretty accent tile to add color.
In the master bathroom we again used the same stained cabinetry with quartz countertops, modern pulls, and fun light fixtures to create match the contemporary look in the rest of the home. The master shower is built for two with neutral tile, an accent mosaic strip, and sleek modern plumbing fixtures. Just off the the master bedroom is a sunroom that opens up to an outdoor atrium. We updated the atrium with travertine flooring and a stacked stone accent wall to finish off the space. For laundry room area we used white shaker cabinets with a tall linen for more storage, and granite countertops for plenty of space to fold laundry,
This large project took about 3 months to complete, and turned into a beautiful contemporary home that will stand the test of time.
