Full service kitchen design and remodeling

Desert Mountain- Southwestern Chic, a remodel by Good Guys.

Location: Scottsdale
Style: Southwestern Chic

Our Desert Mountain project lacked thought and had wasted space throughout the kitchen that needed a sledgehammer of change.

For this project, our client wanted to keep the flooring and the same layout but update everything. They also asked that we bust through a brick wall to create a pass-through bar area into the dining room. We did just that. We removed the floating soffits above the cabinets and for the island, there was a much-needed redesign. We squared it off and enlarged it so there would be functional storage on every side with seating. It also helped fill the empty space that was left from the old island. With the brick wall we broke through and drywalled the opening to bring in more natural light through the rest of the house. The client also asked for a showstopping hood, so we custom built one that complimented the cabinet selections. They chose a wood oak cabinet door with a medium stain that continues the southwestern chic vibe throughout the house. By adding beige subway tile, black hardware, and white quartz countertops this kitchen now has a sense of unity.

This project was a fun challenge that ended with a beautiful outcome.
