Doubletree Ranch- Transitional, a remodel by Good Guys.

Location: Paradise Valley

Style: Transitional

Our Doubletree Ranch project has such a unique transformation! Before we moved in, this kitchen had chunky built in cubbies that came with a supporting log that closed off the kitchen from the rest of the house. The kitchen space was dense and offered no usable storage for our clients. The outdated style had to go.

Our clients wished to expand the kitchen to get more usable counterspace and add a pantry and bar for entertainment. To start, we shifted the opening next to the refrigerator to accommodate for the double ovens and cooktop. For the storage and functionality, we removed the built in cubbies, and replaced the oversized log with a cleaner supporting column. While doing so, we also removed a peninsula that was to the right of the kitchen sink. By doing this, we were able to build an island. We ended up having to connect the island to the supporting column, which added a “leg” look to the island. This island now accomplishes countertop space and more storage. We ended up building the bar area on the opposite side of the kitchen, which helped fill the area nicely.

For the finishes, our clients went with a warm neutral white for the perimeter and a buttery pecan wood stain for the island and bar. They paired these finishes with a neutral marble looking quartz, warm toned backsplashes and gold decorative fixtures. The flooring was completed by others, but they chose a light natural looking wood tile to tie in the rest of the home. We added inserts in the cabinets to maximize all the storage for our clients.

We loved getting to work alongside our clients and the finished results are stunning!
