Grayhawk

Location: Scottsdale
Style: Modern Farmhouse

At our Modern Farmhouse project up in Grayhawk, we did quite a bit of extensive work. When our clients moved in, the houses existing style was very outdated with travertine and warm wood flooring throughout. Our clients dream was to transform this new home into their style that made this feel like home.

Before, the kitchen was tucked in one corner with a small angular island, all espresso wood tones and outdated granite. We filled in existing openings and created new ones, which allowed us to create this expansive layout. Laying out the kitchen this way created a much better flow, function, added more storage and allowed enough room for a 12 foot island with enough seating for five. Working with our client, we designed this kitchen exactly how she wanted: every finish, cabinet, and the layout was carefully thought through. For the perimeter we have Swiss Coffee painted shaker cabinetry with black honed granite countertops and custom 1/4" Sawn White Oak island with marble looking quartz. A unique feature that was a special request as well as an aesthetic, was having the uppers touching the counter on the range wall having appliance garages that lift up for juicers, blenders and other small appliances. All of the textures, wood, black accents, shiplap and metal really created this Modern Farmhouse style that carries throughout the entire home.

Then in the guest and powder bath, we installed all the plumbing and tile that you see. For the guest bath, we have white small hex mosaic flooring, grey brick tile in the shower with black plumbing fixtures and a client sourced oak vanity. In the powder, we modified a nightstand that was client sourced to make it the vanity and installed the fun patterned cement tile flooring. One Source Flooring provided and installed all the beautiful oak flooring and countertops you see throughout and California Closets provided and installed the new laundry room cabinetry. It was a great collaboration working with both of them to create this beautiful home.
