Sierra Foothills- Warm Traditional, a remodel by Good Guys.

Location: Scottsdale

Style: Warm Traditional

Our Sierra Foothills project was a simple remodel that is turning heads. By keeping the flooring, we had to plan the cabinetry so that with any wall removal, there would be no floor discrepancies.

Before the kitchen was a light maple stain with heavy soffits above making the kitchen feel darker and closed off. The cabinets also had very little functionality to them, making this kitchen difficult to work in. There was also a clunky pantry that did not offer valuable storage and made the kitchen feel out of balance.

Because our clients wanted to keep the flooring, but still gain space, we ended up removing the pantry, and shifting both the range and double ovens over to the left. By doing this, we were able to keep the same footprint, create symmetry, and house the perfect spot for the new beverage center that leads into the dining room. By removing the soffits, we took the cabinetry up to a 10-foot elevation that makes this kitchen feel more open. We re-configured the island so that there is optimal storage on three sides and seating on the fourth. We also added in some functional inserts inside the cabinets for beneficial organization. Our clients chose a raised panel door style with a warm white for the perimeter and a taupe stain for the island. They paired these cabinets finishes with a warm quartz and marble mosaic backsplash. Each detail of this kitchen plays off each other that creates a classic and timeless kitchen.

Overall, we loved getting to work with our clients on this project and are so thrilled with the finished product.
