A Luxury Remodel Centered on Connection, Cooking, and Craft
The focus of this luxury remodel in Scottsdale was a kitchen that no longer matched the surrounding home. Despite the home’s generous footprint, the existing layout felt cramped, closed off, and limiting for homeowners who love to cook, host, and spend time together. They came to Kitchens by Good Guys with clear priorities: create better flow, maximize storage, and bring a stronger sense of openness and intention to the home.
Our design-build process was the perfect fit to bring their goals to life.
To make that vision possible, our team started with a major structural move: removing a load-bearing wall and engineering the beam support required to dramatically open the space. From there, the transformation extended into the primary bath, laundry room, guest room/office, flooring, and paint, resulting in a cohesive, warm, and contemporary home that feels elevated, effortless, and designed to be enjoyed every day.
PROJECT SPOTLIGHT
Style: Warm contemporary
Scope: Whole-home remodel, including kitchen, primary bath, laundry room, guest room/office, whole-house flooring, and paint
Timeline: Four months of construction
Standout Features: Structural wall removal, oversized island, custom storage, curbless shower, freestanding tub

The Renovated Kitchen
The kitchen was completely reworked to support serious cooking and easy entertaining. A large island with Fusion Blue stone now anchors the room, while lighter perimeter cabinetry, Bianco Superiore surfaces, and full-height storage keep the space bright, functional, and refined.
Specialty storage details, professional-grade appliances, and a more open connection to the surrounding desert views make this kitchen feel both beautiful and deeply personal to the homeowners.

The Structural Transformation
One of the biggest challenges in the project was opening the kitchen while working through an existing structural wall. Our team developed the right support solution, including a major beam, to create the dramatic open-concept result the homeowners wanted.
This behind-the-scenes work is what made the final transformation possible.
The Primary Bath Remodel
The primary bath was redesigned with a long double vanity, curbless shower, freestanding tub, and layered warm-neutral finishes. Large-format tile, modern fixtures, and a black steel frosted-glass barn door bring a tailored, contemporary feel to the space.

Cohesive Details Throughout the Home
Beyond the kitchen and bath, the whole-home renovation in Scottsdale also included the laundry room, guest room/office, fresh paint, and whole-house flooring. These details helped create a more cohesive experience from one room to the next, giving the home a finished, intentional feel throughout.
